odd picture in picasa
Some pages are almost all the kind that are just a tiny bit of a larger picture
Obviously it is taking a section out of a real picture. However double clicking on the picture does not give you a normal picture but just a big picture of the thumbnail. It doesn't seem to distinguish between pictures with faces and pictures with no faces. That seems to be the problem. I can do further research if you tell me what to look for

Ballard Hi Band 1939
1939
I'm always interested in the Highs School bands. We couldn't hold a candle to the bands today. We played places like school plays and an occasional radio show. But todays bands practice, practice and more practice. Once about this time I went to the Trianon Ballroom here in Seattle to deliver a telegram and was able to listen to one of the big bands prepare for a dance and even they had to practice. We missed getting into the School Annual somehow. I think Meyers was the leader. I'm the one with the guitar
Why do they call it Jazz? It seems to be Swing. I think there is a difference. I'd like to hear some of them anyway.
